Considering how valuable points are this is a massive waste. Short Sighted only affects foraging radius and makes no difference to actual perception sight. The Weak Stomach trait causes the player to have more food illnesses but is easily avoided if you watch what you eat in the game. It helps peel away some of them from larger groups. The only opinion I disagree with is thin-skinned. Just carry 2 filled bottles around with you and you wont notice this trait. Possibly the most harmful traits you can take. These skills suck as short blunt and spear will take longer to gain levels in. Generally the characters of mine that survive the longest are the ones that almost never get into any contact with zombies at all. These two are weird. Very useful for finding Axes and Sledgehammers. But if you are looking for positive traits, you can find a link to a guide for the best positive traits below. You can really live without this one, 6 points is costly too. Then again it isnt the worst thing in the world to only be restricted to large houses at the start of the game. Panic cancels out boredom, turning claustrophobia into a big-brain strat. Check near gas stations and inside residential homes and youre bound to come across some cigarettes to sate those smoker cravings. Keep that in mind. Privacy Policy. This in turn will help your character not to get panicked as quickly. It's entirely unnecessary. Because of this I'd personally put it at 2, but I won't dispute a 3 too much simply because for whatever reason other people somehow find it to be useful. Could be worth taking in conjunction with the negative perk "Prone to Illness" as it gives you 2 free points, which is why I didn't rate this lower. Expensive, prevents you from taking slow healer, mostly useless. Tomatoes do have a reason to be grown in that they can be used in mouse traps (IDK why), however they're still bad because the plants grow too few tomatoes and take too long to grow in comparison to cabbage. Gymnast is S tier just like athletic. I don't see very many discussions on this topic, and the wikis are barren with which traits can go away aside from those as a result of the recent Fitness update. Never found a lack of food to be an issue personally. I'll start with the ones I've been able to determine: Feeble Obese Out of Shape Overweight Poor eyesight . Brave will cost 4 so you will essentially get a free point and not too much risk of panic. It depends on whether youre doing MP or SP In general, Slow Healer, Prone to Illness, High Thirst and Weak Stomach are probably the free-est traits. I'd put Speed Demon at 2. Funnily enough this is the one negative trait that actually includes a little positive effect as well. I wanna make a full late game character. All you need to do to overcome the drawback of this trait is carry an extra water bottle in your bag. Note: the ratings are aimed towards new players on default settings. Dont take this. But even then, you dont have to read books too often when you are leveling your character. May be worth it if its something you personally struggle with, or if it fits your playstyle. The effects of this trait will eventually get better and better as you play through the game. I never play without it. Allows you to detect zombies behind you at a greater distance. /*# sourceMappingURL=https://www.redditstatic.com/desktop2x/chunkCSS/IdCard.ea0ac1df4e6491a16d39_.css.map*/._2JU2WQDzn5pAlpxqChbxr7{height:16px;margin-right:8px;width:16px}._3E45je-29yDjfFqFcLCXyH{margin-top:16px}._13YtS_rCnVZG1ns2xaCalg{font-family:Noto Sans,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:14px;font-weight:400;line-height:18px;display:-ms-flexbox;display:flex}._1m5fPZN4q3vKVg9SgU43u2{margin-top:12px}._17A-IdW3j1_fI_pN-8tMV-{display:inline-block;margin-bottom:8px;margin-right:5px}._5MIPBF8A9vXwwXFumpGqY{border-radius:20px;font-size:12px;font-weight:500;letter-spacing:0;line-height:16px;padding:3px 10px;text-transform:none}._5MIPBF8A9vXwwXFumpGqY:focus{outline:unset} If you gain enough weight, you won't be "underweight" anymore ; if you lvl up your strenght skill enough, you'll go from "weak" to "feeble", or from "feeble" to nothing (5 fitness) and so on. The +2 boosts will be insanely useful from the early to late game. And leveling up shooting is fairly easy with so many zombies and a few boxes of shotgun shells. The ones that can be remedied are, from the top of my head: Very Underweight, Underweight, Overweight, Obese - all weight ones can be managed through nutrition intake. ._1aTW4bdYQHgSZJe7BF2-XV{display:-ms-grid;display:grid;-ms-grid-columns:auto auto 42px;grid-template-columns:auto auto 42px;column-gap:12px}._3b9utyKN3e_kzVZ5ngPqAu,._21RLQh5PvUhC6vOKoFeHUP{font-size:16px;font-weight:500;line-height:20px}._21RLQh5PvUhC6vOKoFeHUP:before{content:"";margin-right:4px;color:#46d160}._22W-auD0n8kTKDVe0vWuyK,._244EzVTQLL3kMNnB03VmxK{display:inline-block;word-break:break-word}._22W-auD0n8kTKDVe0vWuyK{font-weight:500}._22W-auD0n8kTKDVe0vWuyK,._244EzVTQLL3kMNnB03VmxK{font-size:12px;line-height:16px}._244EzVTQLL3kMNnB03VmxK{font-weight:400;color:var(--newCommunityTheme-metaText)}._2xkErp6B3LSS13jtzdNJzO{-ms-flex-align:center;align-items:center;display:-ms-flexbox;display:flex;margin-top:13px;margin-bottom:2px}._2xkErp6B3LSS13jtzdNJzO ._22W-auD0n8kTKDVe0vWuyK{font-size:12px;font-weight:400;line-height:16px;margin-right:4px;margin-left:4px;color:var(--newCommunityTheme-actionIcon)}._2xkErp6B3LSS13jtzdNJzO .je4sRPuSI6UPjZt_xGz8y{border-radius:4px;box-sizing:border-box;height:21px;width:21px}._2xkErp6B3LSS13jtzdNJzO .je4sRPuSI6UPjZt_xGz8y:nth-child(2),._2xkErp6B3LSS13jtzdNJzO .je4sRPuSI6UPjZt_xGz8y:nth-child(3){margin-left:-9px} Costs - 2 points (reduces points) Effect - Increases reading speed by 130%. First aid is not. Expensive for what it is, but it gives cars extra storage space which is occasionally very useful. I'll pose this question to you all so that a list may be compiled: what are all the negative traits that can go away with time? My opinions on each trait in the game I made in an ADHD fuelled frenzy.
